IRIS Technology, LLC. was started in January 2008 by Company President Derrick Longdo.

Mr. Longdo has been in the IT field for more than fifteen years.  He started out with the State of Wisconsin Department of Family Services and more recently was the Director of Information Technology at Community Health Partnership in Eau Claire.  Over the years Mr. Longdo has worked and consulted for companies in various fields, such as healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, criminal justice, & local government.

Some of Mr. Longdo's most important accomplishments in his career were with Disaster Recovery, Security and Infrastructure. He has been featured in white papers from industry leading vendors like Equallogic and FilesX.  Mr. Longdo has spoken at several events on the topic of Disaster Recovery.  Mr. Longdo is a member of the the Strategic Planning Committee for Disaster Ready Chippewa Valley. An effort established by the Eau Claire County Emergency Management Department.

IRIS Technology, LLC. was formed jointly by Mr. Longdo and Mr. Charles (Chuck) Harper.  Mr. Harper has had an extensive career in Long Term Care reform and has owned several businesses, including a software development company.  This company wrote software for an Aging and Disabilities Resource center.

IRIS Technology, LLC provides consulting services for Disaster Recovery and a remote backup software solution called ByteVault®. ByteVault® has been trademarked to provide remote backup services nationwide. These services are structured to provide small to medium sized businesses with advanced data recovery capabilities at an affordable cost. IRIS Technology continues to seek new and innovative technology and partners to bring enterprise Disaster Recovery to the Small to Medium Sized Business Market.
